Late 19th-very early 20th century turkey red and white hand pieced and hand quilted hearts and flowers four block pattern quilt. A truly exceptional quilt, with exquisite hand quilting that creates a rich texture in the four large red heart flowers on the front, and can be fully admired on the back side. The binding is turkey red with a tiny yellow and black flower print.
Condition: Overall very good. There are scattered spots of discoloration. There is a small area where the threads have popped along the binding. The turkey red is threadbare in some areas. One corner is cropped and appears to have been so from the start, or it might have been damaged and repaired long ago.
