Homemade bicycle repair box with painted images and text on the exterior and interior.

Likely used for storing tools for repairing bikes, the box is a Califig Syrup of Figs laxative dovetailed wooden crate. This dates the box to pre-1950s, most likely 1900s-1920.

The front features: a small metal bird emblem, "A.T." in black paint, and a latch missing it's lock. (There is a second latch on the back side of the box.)

The top features: a pair of painted bicycles, and in white paint "BSA", "A. Thompson," "Cycle Repair," and a pair of letter C's back to back painted twice. BSA likely refers to Birmingham Small Arms, which made bicycles starting in 1880, including cycle parts.

Inside lid features: "The Village Curate By A. Thompson" painted in red, along with the image of a priest painted in black. A "curate" refers to a parish priest who is in care of souls.

Condition: Hinges are rusted, one is missing, some screws are missing. There is heavy surface wear and cracks.
